Our wine list is predominantly Victorian, supporting exciting smaller producers, alongside a simple snack menu featuring regional award winning cheeses, sourdough and accompaniments.  The menu also features local beers, and a whole host of the best Victorian spirits on offer so there’s something for everyone.

  • Inspired by the numerous neighbourhood bars found in capital cities and the sense of community they promote, the wine bar was created to bring that to Echuca. Originally built in 1871 as a wood shop, it makes a charming front bar.

  • First opened in Nov 2021, the bar was essentially designed and built from scratch with the biggest focus being to create a social space so that everyone and anyone felt comfortable when walking in the door.

  • You will always feel welcomed at The Social Wine Bar. Deliberately designed to be a meeting place for friends, family, colleagues and for those on their own. It’s relaxing, easy going and we hope you enjoy it.

New Beginnings

It's been 1 year since under new management in July 2024, and we are loving the many incredible people that drop in with friends and enjoy the wine bar's vibrant, place to be. Local's Night on a Friday is one of our favourite times - a great way to bring on the weekend!

With a location on High Street amongst restaurants in the centre of Echuca near the historic port area, The Social is proven to be an ideal spot for pre-dinner drinks, events or a relaxing catch up with friends and making new ones.
